Are Your Thoughts Working For or Against You?
Today's Reflection
"Replace every thought that pulls you down with God's word that pulls you up."
— Cynthia J. Stewart, Your Inner Game
Internal dialogues can run endless loops in our minds. Too often, those thoughts are critical, fearful, or doubtful. They shape how we see ourselves and how we show up in the world. Left unchecked, they become self-sabotage — keeping us from stepping fully into God’s calling.
Scripture Brings Light
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”— 2 Corinthians 10:5
This verse reminds us that our thoughts aren’t meant to control us. We are called to bring them under Christ’s authority, letting His truth replace the lies we’ve believed.
The Solution: Capturing and Reframing
When a negative thought rises up, pause and ask: Does this agree with God’s Word or oppose it? If it opposes, don’t entertain it. Replace it with truth.
“I can’t handle this”→“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
“I’m all alone”→“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
Sister, when you practice this daily, your inner dialogue begins to shift.
You stop being ruled by fear and start living from faith.
📓 Reflect: Taking Every Thought Captive
What thought has been most destructive in your life lately?
How can you reframe it with scripture today?
What would your life look like if your thoughts consistently agreed with God’s Word?
Remember
Your mindset matters. Every thought is a seed. Plant lies, and you harvest fear. Plant truth, and you harvest freedom.
